Graphic design studio
Futur Neue is an independent, Geneva-based, graphic design and research design group that covers works in all areas of print and interactive design. They make editorial design, brand identities, websites, signage, typefaces and research design for cultural institutions, businesses and individuals. Futur Neue’s art director and graphic designer, Alex Dujet, also co-founded Extraset Type Foundry, and runs Type Item Micro Edition, a project related to experimental graphic design and typography.
Named after the predecessor of the Internet developed in 1969 by the United States Department of Defense, Arpanet is a project of Gerald Donald, a Detroit musician also known as Glass Domain or Heinrich Mueller, and member of the bands Japanese Telecom, Der Zyklus, Dopplereffekt, Drexciya, etc. The name Arpanet reflects his passion for science and its technological applications, particularly in population control and monitoring. The track Event Horizon appeared on Arpanet's third album, Inertial frame, released in 2006.
