Named after the predecessor of the Internet developed in 1969 by the United States Department of Defense, Arpanet is a project of Gerald Donald, a Detroit musician also known as Glass Domain or Heinrich Mueller, and member of the bands Japanese Telecom, Der Zyklus, Dopplereffekt, Drexciya, etc. The name Arpanet reflects his passion for science and its technological applications, particularly in population control and monitoring. The track Event Horizon appeared on Arpanet's third album, Inertial frame, released in 2006.
